Marc-Philip Buckhout has been Aquaculture Policy Officer with Seas At Risk for the last five years. He holds a master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Maastricht and a university certificate in sustainable aquaculture from the University of St. Andrews.
He has 13 years’ experience in EU environmental policy, alongside donor-funded development cooperation projects in Asia, Africa and Europe. In the past he covered the Vice-Chair position of the Aquaculture Advisory Council, as well as having been a Technical Committee member for the Global Aquaculture Alliance, providing technical input to the Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) Feed Mill Standard revision process.
