Whether products are sold online or offline, safety matters to consumers in the EU and across the world.  To honour innovative business initiatives and pioneering research that go beyond legal obligations and make a lasting difference for consumers, the European Commission organises the EU Product Safety Award every two years. The winners of the 2025 edition will be announced at the Award ceremony on 10 December 2025. Join us in celebrating businesses and researchers who make a difference for consumers.

The joint EU–UNCTAD session on product safety will address the newly adopted  United Nations Principles for Consumer Product Safety and next steps for implementation.

A Best practice workshop will give an opportunity to 2025 EU Product Safety Award winners to showcase their initiatives and research. They will receive their trophy and diploma from the Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law, and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath. The Award ceremony will be followed by a networking cocktail.

The event is organised back-to-back with meetings of the Consumer Safety Network (CSN) (10 December morning) and joint CSN - European Union Product Compliance Network (EUPCN) (11 December). CSN and EUPCN members are invited to register here as well for their respective meetings.
