Practical information: 3rd Roundtable on the Green Architecture of the CAP

The event will be held on 9 & 10 October. All participants based outside of Brussels and who have requested accommodation will be hosted on the night of 9th at the same hotel where the roundtable will take place (Thon Hotel Brussels City Centre).

Please note that:

travel by car, parking costs cannot be reimbursed by the Commission;
transfer from and to the airport are not organised, nor paid by the Commission;
if you requested additional nights for personal reasons, in case of an earlier arrival or later departure, you will be responsible for your own extra accommodation arrangements.

REACHING THE HOTEL/VENUE

A. From Brussels National Airport

Train:

The airport train station is located below the arrivals hall (basement level-1). Up to two trains per hour connect the airport to the Brussels North train station (Bruxelles-Nord). The train ticket costs between €8-10 for one way and the trip takes 30 min. Tickets can be bought online or at the machines that are available just at the entrance of the airport train station. Taxi:

Taxis with a taximeter are permanently available in front of the arrivals hall. The fare from the airport to the city centre of Brussels is approximately €45 depending on traffic.

B. From Brussels South (Charleroi) Airport

Brussels South (Charleroi) Airport is approx. 63km from the venue. You can take the Shuttle Bus from the airport terminal to the Brussels Midi Station (Bruxelles-Midi). The buses leave every 30 minutes and the journey takes approximately one hour. Tickets can be bought online or at the help desk just outside the airport. The fare is around €14, depending if it is bought online or on-site.

Once arrived at the Brussels South station, take tram 3 or 4 (direction Esplanade) and get off at the stop Rogier.

C. By train:

Station: Brussels North train station (Bruxelles-Nord).
